The federal CDBG grant has been reduced thus fewer job producing projects have been awarded over the last 2-3 years. FY 2016 reflects a19+ reduction in the number of jobs created in FY2015. This is due to a decrease in available funding for the Building Entrepreneurial Economies program as well as a majority of our DHCD job creation resources being invested in planning efforts to increase community capacity for future economic development opportunities that will result in the creation of jobs. A majority of these programs provide funding for planning and implementation.

The FY 2016 number was incorrectly reported and was actually 2038 jobs created in FY 2016.
