Data Source and Calculation
Also known as Virginia’s On-Time Graduation Rate. Data sources: Total number of high school graduates who earn a diploma divided by the total number of students who entered ninth grade four years earlier. Target subject to revision pending baseline graduation rate to be calculated with a new formula recommended by the National Governors Association and adopted by the Board of Education. The new calculation goes into effect for the graduating class of 2008.
