In calendar year 2017 the agency is undertaking an evaluation of its processes to identify ways to reduce the number of processing days between entities' requests for certification and SCHEV's formal response. 2018 65.00 The agency has experienced a significant increase in applications for certification, as well as student complaints against PPE-certified institutions, since the Trump administration loosened federal rules regarding private education, which has negatively impacted staff's ability to process certification applications in as timely of a manner as desired. 2019 Results for FY2019 are being calculated and will be reported in Fall 2019.
