Data Source and Calculation

Performance contracting is a process by which state agencies can reduce their energy costs through one or more energy conservation or operational efficiency measures.  These measures are paid for through the guaranteed savings that will result from implementation of the measures.  The Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy partners with government entities to help provide these services.  Savings are measured by reviewing reports from performance contractors and agencies providing dollar value of contracts and annual savings generated by the projects implemented.
