Data Source and Calculation
Concentrations of ozone pollution in the outdoor air are recorded continuously during the summer months by the agency’s ozone monitoring network. To determine performance, the annual monitoring report and the ozone monitoring network data are used to determine the number of days when ozone levels are above the 8-hour standard of 70 parts per billion for ozone, then compared to the baseline level (measured during calendar year 2007).
