Data Source and Calculation

Data is taken from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey (BRFSS). BRFSS is a series of telephone interviews with people in all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. and several U.S. Territories. Coverage rates are calculated by determining the number and percentage of persons contacted who are 65 + years of age and who have received a pneumonia vaccination within the previous 12 months.
